GPL Wind is a new, dynamic and very ambitious company based out of Grimsby in the North East of Lincolnshire, UK. Having worked in a wide range of disciplines over the last decade, the core team behind GPL have garnered great experience and know-how in the provision of skills and labour to the offshore wind sector. This deep, industry knowledge, which can only come from such experience; puts GPL in the unique position of having an overarching understanding of many key aspects of offshore wind services, not only in workforce provision, but in training too. It is in providing both quality training courses and an experienced, reliable workforce, that GPL intend to excel and, in time, become the ‘go-to' name.

About the Founder

GPL's MD and Founder Gary Leshone is a highly accomplished and adaptable Wind Turbine Technician (& FM Technician) and OPITO Stage 3 Rigger participating in the safe, compliant, accurate and timeous execution of diverse activities for the installation, servicing & maintenance of Offshore Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), Oil Refineries and Dockyards for an accumulated 9 years, complemented by an earlier 6 years of Construction site experience - including 3 as a Foreman (Trafalgar Construction) - working compliantly in highly-regulated, time/safety-critical environments, bringing the flexibility to move efficiently between tasks, and the diverse experience to add value to project activities and enable timely and high-quality delivery.
